Rebranding coming with 0.8, announcing 0.8 BETA

As the release of new minor version (0.8) is coming near, so is the rebranding of our product. The original brand, MAMAS, will be dropped. While we like the simplicity of the name that's formed just by putting together first letter of the major functionality areas:

• Monitoring
• Alerting
• Management
• Automation
• System

the problem with the name is that it has some regional conotations/meanings so we are forced to do a radical change. While we will still use the functionality area names and the logo will still be formed by the letters (kept unchaged), the brand itself will change.

Unfortunately, this means updating all the materials like howtos, MAMAS paper, all videos and support pages but that's the way it is.

It could take us some time to properly process all the materials so there could be some time period when not all of the materials are 100% correct. Yeah, we can delay the 0.8 release until all is prepared - but honestly, there is some nice functionality coming in 0.8 and as the testing period started already we don't want our users to wait for it just because of not all materials completely rebranded.

At least all the new and updated howto and showcase videos will be released together with 0.8. All the other materials will follow shortly.

Also, the beta program for version 0.8 will open in just a few days!
